Courtney Carey, LCSW

Courtney Carey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of clinical experience. She graduated from Boston University with honors and completed her training at Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the top programs in the country. Courtney has worked passionately for over a decade, helping children, families, and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, parenting issues, ADHD, learning disabilities, trauma, and a range of behavioral challenges.
In addition to working with children, parents, and adults at Zackson Psychology Group, Courtney holds a teaching appointment at Columbia University School of Social Work and supervises psychological services at Domus charter and selective private and public schools. Working within the school systems, Courtney created innovative clinical models and has significant experience both advocating and collaborating on behalf of young people within the multi-disciplinary wrap around systems.
Courtney is a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental therapist. She is easy to talk to and works well with parents. Courtney believes that all people are inherently resilient with the ability to thrive, given the appropriate support and environment. She works diligently to help individuals work through their difficulties and become their own therapist. Clients often see a reduction in symptoms early on in treatment.
