Dr. Normajean Cefarelli
Dr. Cefarelli is a Doctoral level Marriage and Family Therapist; the highest level of clinical and academic training. She is passionate about helping individuals and families understand their struggles and heal in order to form stronger connections within themselves and with others.
Dr. Cefarelli received her clinical training at Southern Connecticut State University, followed by a doctorate at Northcentral University. She has presented at Columbia University and is an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor at Southern State University Graduate Program.
Dr. Cefarelli works with a wide range of clients from individuals, couples, parents, and business people. Her expertise involves helping individuals and families struggling with life circumstances, depression, anxiety, marital and family issues, anger and addiction recovery issues. Clients often experience reduction of symptoms early on in treatment.
Dr. Cefarelli uses a holistic approach in her practice. She considers the biological, psychological and social factors that influence the way her clients feel and how those factors impact overall health. Her work is informed by decades of clinical experience and mindfulness meditation practice/teaching. She utilizes and integrates forms of holistic health to help clients heal and improve their quality of life.
