Lauren Rocheleau, LCSW

Lauren Rocheleau is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Doctoral Candidate with more than a decade of clinical experience. She holds a license to practice in both Connecticut and New York State. Lauren graduated with honors from New York University and is a Doctoral Candidate at the City University of New York, one of the top programs in the country. Lauren has extensive experience working with children adolescents, college age and their families who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, learning disabilities, social anxiety as well as behaviorally based issues.

In addition to working with children and parents at Zackson Psychology Group, Lauren continues to practice at NYU Langone Medical Center and continues to supervise clinicians in training. Lauren completed her clinical training at New York University, NYU Langone Medical Center, Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy, Ackerman Institute for the family and New York School Systems. Working within the school system, Lauren created innovative programming, created social skills groups, fostered relationships between families and school and facilitated treatment programs for students. Lauren has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child-Parent Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT and Mindfulness based therapies.

Lauren uses a biopsychosocial approach in her practice. She considers the biological, psychological and social factors that influence her clients. Her work is informed by evidence based treatments and is focused on finding solutions. Her mission is to provide the highest quality of care and positive outcome for each child and their family. Her clients often experience reduction of symptoms and improved quality of life early on in treatment. At Zackson Psychology Group, Lauren provides evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, college age and parenting support. She also provides school consultative services. She collaborates with schools and multi-disciplinary teams to identify and implement effective strategies to facilitate treatment for students. Lauren currently lives in Connecticut with her husband and young daughter.
