Spencer’s first step in treatment is to help children and families feel comfortable, heard, and supported, focusing on goals. She helps children work through their challenges by building self-awareness, emotional regulation skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Spencer also provides child-parent therapy and parent management training. She believes that parents are an integral part of treatment, and her approach is geared towards empowering parents. She helps children and families recognize their inherent abilities, allowing them to thrive and overcome challenges.

Spencer provides in-person and home-based services. She also collaborates with schools and multi-disciplinary teams to identify and implement strategies to support each child’s success. She works diligently to help children become their own therapist. Children often see a reduction in symptoms early on in treatment.
